Carbon Steel Polishing & Buffing Services

carbon steel polishing and buffingFor high-caliber carbon steel polishing and buffing services, look no further than RP Abrasives. We leverage a broad range of carbon steel polishing and buffing techniques so we can deliver optimal results to our customers. Our New England-based job shop has and can handle batch sizes ranging from one to 100,000 pieces; we have one customer whose batch size is 1 million pieces.

Carbon steel polishing and buffing often go hand-in-hand, but the processes are very dissimilar. Polishing carbon steel involves using abrasives – such as wheels, belts and media – to remove just enough materials from the part's surface to make it suitable for its final finish. Buffing carbon steel is done using cloth-type wheels and non-aggressive media, which tumble over the part's surface until the desired level of finish is reached.

We at RP Abrasives have spent years fine-tuning our carbon steel polishing and buffing processes – and the results speak for themselves. We leverage a number of techniques – including mass finishing/tumbling and even bead blasting – so we can ensure second-to-none services to our clients. We also polish/buff many other metals and plastics, including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, polycarbonate, polypropylene and acrylic. We're one of the only finishing companies capable of handling metals and plastics with equal success.
