ROCHESTER, N.H., November 2015 – RP Abrasives (RPA) is excited to announce the introduction of their new Timesavers machine and line graining services for finishing a wide range of metal surfaces.
A line grain finish, also known as stroking, is a sanded or etched in a linear pattern, used to remove or minimize scratches, defects, mill scale and porosity. The material is then completed with a pass to leave a uniform finish. This line graining finish can be done on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, copper, brass, as well as other various metals.
RP Abrasives, which has the expertise and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure your metal finish is of the utmost quality, is thrilled to be expanding its capabilities. The Timesavers machine can be used both wet or dry, giving them several, significant advantages. Wet and dry machines process the material in the same way, however, wet machines spray a coolant on the part as it is processed, providing a safer working environment as well as finer and cleaner finishes. The machine uses various grits and sanding belts to achieve a wide range of grain types, from a fine semi-polished finish to very coarse lines.
